The Borealis collection is entirely handmade in Michaels studio in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. Featuring ceramic with a crystal glaze, the pieces are edged with platinum or gold. The collection is finished with a reactive glaze that fires slightly differently every time, adding to the unique beauty of the pieces.

Each Coaster can hold up to two glasses.

The Borealis Collection is available with a white, gold or blue glaze.

Hand wash only. Not for stove or microwave use.

Michael Wainwright has been getting his hands dirty in clay since the age of 7. When he graduated from NYU in 1991 with a degree in clay sculpture, he didn’t know what to do for a living, so he sold his handmade wares in street fairs and craft shows around New York City on weekends, carting his wares on a handtruck on the subway. Now Michael Wainwright USA sells to stores big and small across the country, and Michaelthinks he has finally figured out what he wants to do in life.
